Report a Pothole
Recent weather conditions and increased traffic are causing potholes to occur in the streets.
Moisture, from recent rainfalls, seeps into the asphalt causing the asphalt to shift. Freezing temperatures cause the moisture to expand causing an even further shift in the asphalt. The shifts create cracks that expand over time due to heat as well as the weight of increased traffic and heavy commercial vehicles.
Crews are working diligently to quickly and effectively repair the potholes.
Motorists are encouraged to drive with care and slow down to avoid potholes. Locations of potholes within the City limits, that are not a state highway, can be reported online via the Citizen's Problem Reporter. Please include either a block number or a cross street when identifying the location.
There are numerous state highways within the City limits. The Texas Department of Transportation is responsible for the maintenance and repair of those roadways. State highways within the City limits include: Highway 191 (42nd Street), FM 1882 (County Road West), Highway 385 (Andrews Highway/Grant Avenue), Highway 302 (Kermit Highway), Loop 338, Business Interstate 20, Interstate 20 and Faudree Highway between 191 and BI20.
